Fruit Smoothies

Smoothies are a great healthy breakfast or snack for the kids while they're at home during the summer.

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: About 4 servings


  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas, peeled and quartered
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • Honey, to taste
  • 1 cup nonfat milk
  • 2 cups crushed ice (optional)


  • Add bananas and strawberries to a blender. Sweeten fruit to taste with honey and add milk. Blend on medium until smooth. Add crushed ice, if desired. (For a thicker smoothie, blend with a little more ice.) Serve immediately.
