Italian Essence
A no-sodium sesoning that can enhance many Italian-style dishes. Simmer it in any homemade or jarred sauce. Whisk it with a little oil and vinegar for a marinade. Rub it inside a whole chicken. Or rub it on steak, lamb, or pork before cooking. You can even sprinkle it over left over pizza before you re-heat it in the oven!
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons dried oregano
- 3 tablespoons dried basil
- 2 tablesppoons dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon dried rosemary, marjoram, or sage, rubbed between your fingers
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
Directions
Combined throughly and store covered for up to 6 months.
