Ginger Syrup

  • Yield: About 1 quart

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • One-half cup peeled and thinly sliced fresh ginger root

Directions

  • Combine the ingredients in a saucepan, cover, and bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the mixture cool. Strain and store in a sterilized bottle.
