- One and one-half cups water
- 2 teabags of choice
- One-half lemon, thinly sliced
- 1-inch piece of fresh ginger, sliced
- One-fourth cup honey, or to taste
- Brandy or Cognac to taste
- In a small saucepan bring the water to a boil and remove from the heat. Pour the water into a heated teapot over teabags, add the lemon, ginger and honey and brew for up to 5 minutes. Serve in teacups, with brandy or cognac to taste.
