Spice Liqueur


  • 6 cardamom pods (white)
  • 3 teaspoons anise seeds
  • Two and one-fourth teaspoons Angelica root, chopped
  • 1 cinnamon stick, about two inches long
  • 1 clove
  • One-fourth teaspoons mace
  • 1 quart vodka
  • 1 cup sugar syrup (1 c. sugar boiled with 1/2 cup water - discard extra)


  • Remove the seeds from the cardamom pods, add the anise seed and grind together. Add this and the rest of the spices to the vodka and age 1 week, filter add the syrup and bottle.
