Sweet Tea
Instructions
Bring the water to a boil. Immediately after it comes to a boil, remove from the heat and add the tea bag. Cover, and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bag, and stir in the sugar while tea is still warm. Add the two cups cold water and refrigerate. Serve over ice with a sprig of mint or a wedge of lemon.
Makes 1 quart plus 1 pint.
Ingredients
- 1 quart fresh, cool water
- 1 family-size tea bag of Luzianne tea (a tea made in New Orleans that is blended especially for iced tea)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups cold water
