Southern Hospitality

This cocktail is a Southern take on the classic Whiskey Sour. Southern Comfort, originally crafted in New Orleans, has hints of fruit and spice with a whiskey background while Aperol has a flavor similar to Campari.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 ounces Southern Comfort® Pepper
  • 3/4 ounce Aperol
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • Cajun Spice, for sanding rim of glass
  • Cajun Spice Rim Recipe:

  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions

  • Moisten the rim of a martini glass with lime juice and then press into the Cajun Spice Rim mixture to coat. Combine the Southern Comfort, Aperol, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker over ice and shake to chill. Strain the cocktail into the martini glass.

  • Cajun Spice Rim Recipe: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl.
