Mother's Buttermilk Pancakes
Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
Directions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, soda, salt, and sugar. Add the egg, buttermilk, and melted butter and mix until well blended. Heat an oiled frying pan or griddle. Drop approximately 1/4 cup of batter on the hot griddle, turning cakes to brown on both sides.
