Chili Sauce
Instructions
Drain chiles. Heat a small saucepan and when smoking hot, add the 1 1/2 tablespoons oil, garlic, and chilies and stir-fry for 20 seconds. Then add the rest of the sauce ingredients and simmer for 2 minutes.
Yield: 2/3 cup
Ingredients
- 10 dried chiles, halved, and soaked in warm water, so they are pliable
- 1 1/2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 3 tablespoons finely sliced garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch dissolved in 2 teaspoons water
