Emeril Re-Opens Three New Orleans Area Restaurants

NEW ORLEANS, LA (Friday, September 5, 2008) – Emeril’s Restaurant, Lagasse’s flagship restaurant in New Orleans’ Warehouse district, reopens Friday, September 5th with dinner service at 5:00pm, as will NOLA, his casual and funky French Quarter outpost.  Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House in Gulfport, Mississippi returned to service on Wednesday. Gulf Coast Operations Update

Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House will reopen on Wednesday, September 3, with dinner service beginning at 5:30pm.

Employees of Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House should check in with their direct supervisors regarding work schedules for tomorrow’s dinner service.

Emeril’s Restaurant, NOLA Restaurant, Emeril’s Delmonico and Emeril’s Homebase in New Orleans will remain closed through Wednesday, September 3.  Emeril’s senior leadership is returning to New Orleans on Wednesday morning to complete an assessment of our properties and access to city services. We will provide an official reopening schedule following this evaluation.
Emeril’s employees should continue to check the Emeril’s Employee Hotline by noon daily at 1-877-578-8884.

The latest information on the status of Emeril’s restaurants will be made available on emerils.com.

Gulf Coast Operations Update

Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House will be closed on Tuesday, September 2, as we evaluate the availability of city services. We expect the restaurant to resume normal operations once the Island View Casino Resort is granted Mississippi Gaming Commission approval to reopen.

Emeril’s Restaurant, NOLA Restaurant, Emeril’s Delmonico and Emeril’s Homebase in New Orleans will remain closed through Tuesday, September 2. We will provide an official reopening schedule once we complete an assessment of our properties and access to essential services.

Emeril’s employees should continue to check the Emeril’s Employee Hotline by noon daily at 1-877-578-8884.

The latest information on the status of Emeril’s restaurants will be made available on emerils.com.

Gulf Coast Operations Update: Gustav

Emeril’s New Orleans restaurants (Emeril’s Restaurant, NOLA Restaurant, Emeril’s Delmonico) and Emeril’s Homebase remain closed through Tuesday, September 2, as Chef Emeril Lagasse and the senior leadership team continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Gustav.

Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House will remain closed Monday, September 1, and is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, September 2, or as soon as it is deemed that the threat of Gustav has passed.

Emeril’s employees should continue to check the Emeril’s Employee Hotline by noon daily at 1-877-578-8884.

A mandatory evacuation was declared for the city of New Orleans and the surrounding area as of Sunday, August 31. Operations were suspended at Emeril’s restaurants on the Gulf Coast at the close of business on Friday, August 29; facilities were secured and employees were encouraged to implement their emergency evacuation plans.

Emeril’s Gulf Coast Restaurants Close Ahead of Storm

Emeril’s Restaurant, NOLA Restaurant, Emeril’s Delmonico, Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House, and Emeril’s Homebase remain closed as we continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Gustav.

Emeril’s senior leadership chose to suspend operations at Emeril’s restaurants in New Orleans and Gulfport, Mississippi as of Saturday, August 30, to ensure the safety of employees and their families.

The latest information on the status of Emeril’s restaurants will be made available on emerils.com.

Emeril’s Gulf Coast Restaurants: Service Update

Emeril’s Homebase continues to monitor the potential impact of Gustav on the Gulf Coast.

Beginning Saturday, August 30, operations will be suspended at Emeril’s Restaurant, NOLA RestaurantEmeril’s Delmonico and Emeril’s Homebase in New Orleans and Emeril’s Gulf Coast Fish House in Gulfport, Mississippi. Emeril’s Delmonico will also suspend dinner service on Friday, August 29.

At this time, it is anticipated that regular service will resume as soon as the threat has passed.

Emeril’s restaurants in Orlando, Miami and Las Vegas are unaffected by this announcement.

Please continue to monitor emerils.com for the latest status and hours of operations for all Emeril’s restaurants.

The August issue of Louisiana Cookin’ magazine profiles Chef Spencer Minch of Emeril’s Delmonico as one of their 2008 “Chefs to Watch”. The 7th annual “Chefs to Watch” dinner features five courses paired with wine and benefits Cafe Reconcile. The event will be held Tuesday, August 26 at the Harrah’s Theater in New Orleans and tickets are available now.

Chef Minch will prepare Tomato-Basil Bruschetta with Cappacolla & Balsamic Reduction and Sautéed Gulf Shrimp with Roasted Creole Tomatoes, Arugula & Preserved Lemon Vinaigrette.

EMERIL’S DELMONICO CELEBRATES 10 YEARS ON THE AVENUE

Sample Ten Tastes of Delmonico for Ten Dollars Each

Delmonico, an icon in the New Orleans restaurant industry, has been in business on St. Charles Avenue since 1895. Re-established under the ownership and direction of Chef Emeril Lagasse in June of 1998, Emeril’s Delmonico commemorates its tenth anniversary with a week-long celebration and a special menu of Creole specialties.

Chef Emeril and Chef de Cuisine Spencer Minch have created a menu of ten dishes, including modern renditions of mainstays on the original Delmonico menu, presented in small-plate style for ten dollars each. The 10th anniversary menu is available June 23-29, with dinner served nightly beginning at 6:00 pm. Read more »

When Emeril Lagasse was well on his way to achieving super stardom during his years as Commander’s Palace executive chef, who could have guessed that he would one day own a restaurant founded by a member of the original Commanders family?

Well, it happened in 1997 when Emeril Lagasse purchased Delmonico’s, the restaurant begun more than one hundred years earlier by Anthony Commander. Anthony was the older brother of Emile Commander who established Commander’s Palace in 1880. Read more »
