CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Sept. 30, 2013) - e2 emeril’s eatery announced today it has promoted Miki Nikolic to general manager of e2 and e2GO. With more than two decades of hospitality experience, Nikolic joined chef Emeril Lagasse’s family of restaurants in 2011, helping to open e2 at the Levine Center for the Arts in Uptown Charlotte. Nikolic previously served as Bar Manager at e2, transforming Charlotte’s cocktail scene by introducing an abundance of local, fresh ingredients and hand-crafted cocktails.
“Miki is a natural leader,” said Eric Linquest, president and COO of Emeril’s Homebase. “He has a knack for developing young talent and pushing our servers and managers to perform at the high standard of service set forth by Chef Emeril.”
Nikolic moved to Charlotte in 2011 from Las Vegas, where he managed the bar at Mario Batali’s Carnevino in The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas for six years. While in Vegas, he also worked in the dining rooms at B and B Ristorante and Guy Savoy in Caesar’s Palace. Originally from Yugoslavia, Nikolic earned a degree in Culinary Arts from the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism in Belgrade and attended the Institute of Hotel Management, Food and Beverage Management. In 2012, Nikolic was named the Voters’ Choice “Best Mixologist” in Charlotte Magazine’s Best of the Best Awards. The eatery was also awarded the magazine’s Editors’ Choice for “Best View of the Action.”
e2 emeril’s eatery features New Orleans-inspired American cuisine, serving lunch weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner Monday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and until 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday. The restaurant offers complimentary valet during dinner service.
