The 7th Annual Emeril Lagasse Golf Classic Tournament

Emeril’s Golf ClassicBorn out of Chef Emeril Lagasse’s commitment to give back to his alma mater, Johnson & Wales University, the annual Emeril Lagasse Golf Classic is a unique event benefiting the renowned chef’s endowed scholarship fund. This year’s event kicks off on Mon, Sep 21, with tournament play the following day, Tue, Sep 22 at the fabled Newport Country Club in Newport, Rhode Island.

The 2008 tournament raised more than $500,000. Four scholarships were awarded to deserving culinary students from each of JWU’s campuses in Providence, North Miami, Denver and Charlotte.

The kick off dinner for this year’s event takes place on Mon, Sep 21, with tournament play the following day.
