A Message from Emeril about ‘Emeril Live’…

Dear Friends,

Thank you for visiting our site and sending your well wishes and thoughts about ‘Emeril Live’. It is true that we will not continue production of ‘Emeril Live’ after the next filming in December, but I am looking forward to continuing a long working relationship with them for years to come. Emeril Live will continue to air on the Food Network for about two more years, with premiere episodes throughout 2008, and I will continue to host ‘Essence of Emeril’ next year. We are also looking into some specials and other new development opportunities.

’Emeril Live’ has been a wonderful experience over the past ten years, and I’d just like to say how deeply appreciative I am to all the unbelievable staff — many who have been with the show since the beginning. I’d also like to thank the loyal viewers and fans, and the many talented guests who have appeared on the show through the years. It’s been such an incredible ride…but there is much more to come. I have lots of new ideas cooking…so please stay tuned!!

Island View, Emeril ‘perfect fit’

GULFPORT — Island View Casino kicked it up a notch Monday, opening the second phase of its resort and reminding the crowd there is more to come with an appearance by chef Emeril Lagasse.
“We’ve got something special to show you,” owner Rick Carter said as he unveiled the expansion that nearly triples the size of Gulfport’s only casino.

The addition that opened Monday adds 50,000 square feet of gambling space, and more than 1,000 slots and 32 new table games. The casino has hired an additional 600 workers. Read more »

Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse says he’s more concerned than ever about Gulf Coast children and hopes the more than $500,000 in grants he’s committing for culinary education and summer camp programs will help to enrich lives tattered since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.”These kids are the future. Emeril Lagasse is a busy man. He’s got nine restaurants to oversee. He’s got shows to do on the Food Network. He’s got cookware and other kitchen goodies to flack.

But he’s not too busy to give some thought to what his kids, and yours, should be eating.

“Whenever people say, ‘My kids don’t eat anything but chicken nuggets,’ I cringe,” Emeril says bluntly in a recent telephone interview. “I know we’re all busy, but we have to take the time to be a family at the table.”

EMERIL LAGASSE IS FIRST CELEBRITY CHEF TO HAVE FOOD CONSUMED IN SPACE

NEW YORK, For Immediate Release – It will be rocket science for Chef Emeril Lagasse when his recipes are served to the astronauts on the International Space Station on August 10, 2006. Lagasse is the first celebrity chef to have meals developed for NASA astronauts and the first person to have those recipes served in space. On August 10, from approximately 1:30pm to 1:50pm ET/PT, Emeril will speak live via satellite with the astronauts while they feast on the fruit of his culinary labors.
