Holiday lunch
GW Fins (808 Bienville St., (504) 581-3467) is continuing its tradition of opening for lunch on two Fridays during the holidays. This year the restaurant, which is usually only open for dinner, will serve lunch on Dec. 15 and 22.
Meanwhile, the recent auction for tables at Galatoire’s (209 Bourbon St., (504) 525-2021) during lunch on the Friday before Christmas raised $54,000 for Covenant House of New Orleans and Children’s Hospital.
