NEW ORLEANS (November 10, 2010) – World-renowned chef Emeril Lagasse will kick off this year’s Carnivale du Vin—the annual charity wine auction and gala to benefit the Emeril Lagasse Foundation’s children’s education programs—by hosting a special edition of his SIRIUS XM Martha Stewart Living Radio show live from his flagship Emeril’s Restaurant in New Orleans.
Emeril’s “Carnivale du Vin” radio show will air live Thursday, November 11 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm ET on Martha Stewart Living Radio (SIRIUS channel 112 and XM channel 157 as part of “The Best of SIRIUS.”)
Emeril will welcome an all-star lineup of guests including: chefs Mario Batali, Gale Gand, Norman Van Aken, and Donald Link, winemakers Jim Clendenen of Au Bon Climat, Larry Stone of Evening Land, and Bob Cabral of Williams Seleyem, Kristin Shannon, executive director of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation and three culinary arts students from the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts—Victoria Farmer, Chayil Johnson, and Janeé Taylor.
Emeril and guests will bring SIRIUS XM listeners across the country inside the New Orleans-style “Carnivale” festivities, offering a sneak peak at the delicious fare and incredible wines that will be served as well as the accomplishments and mission of his foundation. Emeril Lagasse Foundation was established in 2002 as the realization of Emeril’s dream to improve the quality of young people’s lives by supporting children’s education programs in the communities that are home to his restaurants.
