New Weekday Lunch Features Entrée Salads, Asian Noodle Bowls & Bento Boxes

ORLANDO, FL (July 16, 2010) – Long-time patrons and business and leisure travelers alike have a new destination for lunch beginning Monday, July 19, as Emeril’s Tchoup Chop introduces weekday lunch service. Emeril’s Tchoup Chop is located at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando. Lunch will be offered Monday through Friday from 11:30am-2:30pm, along with dinner service from 5:30pm-10:00pm Sunday-Thursday, and until 11:00pm Friday-Saturday.

“Tchoup Chop has always been an exciting nighttime dining destination, but it’s the perfect setting for a quick, casual lunch before heading off to the parks,” said Jeff Wakem, general manager, Emeril’s Tchoup Chop. “We look forward to opening our doors for lunchtime dining to our guests and families who are visiting Universal Orlando.”

Tchoup Chop’s menu draws upon the rich culture of Polynesia – an exploration of French Polynesian, Hawaiian, Indonesian and Vietnamese cuisines, capturing the diverse flavors of each. Chef Emeril’s bold flavors and favorite dishes are mainstays of the menu, as are daily selections by Chef Richie that highlight the best local ingredients from Florida’s coast and regional growers.

Guests can now enjoy the lunchtime creations of Emeril’s chef de cuisine Gregory Richie – the highlight is the “create your own” bento box, combining a sushi roll, signature salad and noodles. One may choose a spicy tuna roll, Tchoup Chop salad with mixed Asian greens, candied pecans and creamy soy dressing, and noodles with lemon grass shrimp.

The lunch menu also features Asian noodle bowls – an herb infused broth with garlic, ginger, scallions, Thai basil, baby bok choy, crisp carrots and mung bean sprouts. Choose your style of noodles, level of spice, and add teriyaki chicken, Thai style beef, lemon grass poached shrimp or Asian vegetables.

A kid’s lunch menu for children 12 and under features all their favorites like Tchoup Chop chicken tenders with honey mustard dipping sauce and crispy chicken sushi rolls. Kids can also sip on imaginative drinks that are sure to make any meal fun, like the “Surf’s Up” with orange juice and passion fruit, or the “Big Kahuna” with pineapple, coconut and banana, served in mischievous tiki mugs, or Ramune – a popular Japanese fizzy soda sealed with a marble stopper. The soda’s effervescence causes the marble trapped inside the top of the bottle to rattle while drinking–creating a signature sound that’s familiar throughout Japan.

For dinner, begin with Emeril’s Polynesian “kicked up” crab cake with mango-habanero butter sauce and caramelized pineapple compote. For the main course, garlic grilled black tiger shrimp on Chinese style noodle cake with lemongrass infused wild mushroom crèma, or the Mongolian barbeque grilled pork tenderloin with caramelized sweet onion-orange confit and stir fried lomein noodles.

A must try – Chef Emeril’s favorite fried rice with scallions, egg, seasonal vegetables and soy sauce or steamed pork and Asian vegetable dumplings with sake-soy dipping sauce. For dessert, share a slice of Emeril’s signature Banana Cream Pie.

Tchoup Chop’s main bar and outdoor tiki bar features hand crafted tropical concoctions made with fresh juices, island-style martinis, classic cocktails from New Orleans such as the sazerac, and an award winning wine list of over 100 selections, including 40 by the glass which change seasonally. In addition, there is a menu of chilled sakes and hot teas to pair with any meal.
