A Bread Maker that Rises Above the Rest with Baguettes

WEST ORANGE, NJ (March 17, 2008) – There’s nothing like the smell of homemade bread, and now, Chef Emeril Lagasse brings the art of bread making to your home’s countertop with the Emerilware Bread & Baguette Maker by T-fal®. Available in May 2008, the Bread & Baguette Maker is the only one of its kind that also makes baguettes. Simply toss in the ingredients, and the machine prepares the dough, lets it rise, and then bakes bread to perfection each time. The fun part of shaping baguettes is one step Emeril has saved for the home baker.

Let Them Eat Baguettes!

Breadmaking – and now baguette making – has never been so easy or so much fun for the whole family. Freshly made baguettes can turn any sandwich or dinner from ordinary to extraordinary, and with the “Emerilware” Bread & Baguette Maker you can use the non-stick T-fal baguette trays to bake four classic-style French baguettes. For an artisan touch, a variety of seeds and seasonings can be added to please all palettes. A finishing blade completes the masterpieces, letting you create authentic cut marks that will have family and guests thinking these homemade baguettes came from a French bakery.

Versatility and Volume

Choose from three bread loaf size settings – 2-pound, 2.5-pound or a 3-pound loaf. A 3-pound loaf makes sure you’ll have enough to serve freshly baked bread with dinner one night and then sandwiches all week long. Once you choose your loaf size, further customize your breads by choosing from three crust settings – light, medium and dark. Among the 14 pre-programmed settings, you can even make pizza dough, pasta and cakes, as well as jam, the perfect accompaniment to freshly baked bread.

Up to the Dietary Challenge

As Americans become more health conscious, consumption of whole grains continues to grow. The “Emerilware” Bread & Baguette Maker lets everyone in the family get in on the action of making fresh whole grain, rye or whole wheat breads, using only the ingredients you choose. For bread lovers with special dietary needs, the gluten-free setting ensures they can enjoy everything from deli-style sandwiches to homemade French toast. A salt-free setting also lets you control the amount of sodium in the finished product.

Set It and Forget It

The “Emerilware” Bread & Baguette Maker ensures perfect loaves of bread every time in about three hours with the help of smart timing mechanisms. A 15-hour delayed-start timer allows for baking convenience; set it in the morning before heading off to work and enjoy the smell of freshly baked bread when you come home. Signal alerts indicate when to add special ingredients, such as fruit and nuts. A one-hour “keep warm” feature heats bread until it is ready to be served, and an automatic shut off kicks in when the warm cycle is complete. Use the Express Cycle to bake a 2-pound loaf of white bread in just one hour and 20 minutes.

I can’t think of anything better than a slice of piping hot homemade bread,” says Chef Emeril Lagasse. “With my Bread & Baguette Maker it’s so easy to bake bread just the way you like it, and it’s a fun activity for the whole family. Now, freshly baked bread, and even baguettes, are something you can enjoy every day at home.”

TheEmerilware” Bread & Baguette Maker by T-fal comes with 12 custom recipe cards created by Chef Emeril, as well as an additional 24 recipes from T-fal.
