Emeril’s Miami Beach

Posted by: Terrance Pitre

Make the scene—see and be seen in this hot spot of south Florida.

Emeril’s Miami Beach is located amidst the hustle and bustle of fashionable South Beach on Collins Avenue. The restaurant, adjacent to the luxurious Loews Hotel, is housed in the art deco St. Moritz hotel building. Hot tropical colors of golds, oranges, crimsons and pinks accented with avocado green and royal blues tempered with soothing sand hues create an exciting oasis for cocktails, brunch, lunch or dinner.

The restaurant features an open expo kitchen, framed by a signature metal and glass proscenium filled with spices, where guests can eat dinner prepared by a staff of chefs. The main dining room is staged with two vault-sized wine towers with cascading art deco beaded chandeliers emerging from the center. A long communal banquette in white leather is accented with a classic Miami stripe in sea foam green, paprika and silver fabrics. The flooring is a combination of red and white oak surrounding a custom Angela Adams rug, inspired by coral and the colors of the sea.

Kick back and relax in the stylish lobby lounge area, dine in any of our dining rooms or on the adjoining lush terrace, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, while our staff caters to your every whim.

The menu offers Emeril’s eclectic style of cuisine that includes a great selection of fresh seafood from the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, as well as fine beef, veal, pork and poultry, all accented with local seasonal produce.

Begin your meal with appetizers that include Creole boiled shrimp on cornmeal fried green tomatoes accented with warm remoulade, crispy Louisiana blue crab cake in conch bisque, and blue cheese crusted oysters and warm spinach.

If you’re with us for lunch, we recommend the pecan-crusted redfish, grilled sweet barbecued salmon or the tempura-fried firecracker grouper with Gulf shrimp tartar sauce. For dinner, assuage your appetite with a Niman Ranch double-cut pork chop with a tamarind glaze, a sautĂ© of Gulf shrimp with herbs, onions and tomatoes served with house-made linguine, or kick it up with grilled filet of beef or New York strip, or roasted veal chop!

On to desserts—strawberry Guava cheesecake, Cuban coffee-chocolate flan, Emeril’s signature banana cream pie with caramel sauce, or dark chocolate soufflĂ©, then linger over coffee and perhaps an after-dinner drink.

At Sunday brunch, imbibe a soothing brandy milk punch, a heady New Orleans classic—a Sazerac, or a spicy bloody Mary, and then continue the revelry with menu selections like homemade cinnamon rolls with praline caramel and whipped cream, osetra caviar and cured salmon with herb crema, crab and corn bisque, poached eggs served with house-made English muffins, grilled asparagus and apple-smoked bacon, and smoked Gulf shrimp cakes with sweet corn tartar sauce.

If you want a captivating setting in which to entertain guests, host a reception, luncheon or dinner party, our skilled staff can assist you with planning a party or event at the restaurant. Relevant information is available on our website.

This is South Beach at its best—fashionable shops like Cartier, Christian Dior, Gucci, Rive Gauche, Versace as well as chic boutiques, art galleries, and antique markets are just a stroll away.
