Ginger Syrup

  • Yield: About 1 quart


  • 5 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups thinly sliced peeled fresh ginger


  • Combine the ingredients in a large saucepan over low heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, remove from the heat, and allow to cool. Once cool, strain out the ginger.
