Smoothies are a great healthy breakfast or snack for the kids while they're at home during the summer.
- 2 to 3 ripe bananas, peeled and quartered
- 1 cup sliced strawberries
- Honey, to taste
- 1 cup nonfat milk
- 2 cups crushed ice (optional)
Makes about 4 servings
Add bananas and strawberries to a blender. Sweeten fruit to taste with honey and add milk. Blend on medium until smooth. Add crushed ice, if desired. (For a thicker smoothie, blend with a little more ice.) Serve immediately.
