Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups water

Instructions

Combine the sugar and water in a medium, heavy saucepan.

Bring to a boil without stirring.

Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool.

Pour the syrup into an airtight container and place in the refrigerator to cool completely (about 2 hours) before using.

Use as needed.

Yield: 2 1/4 cups
