Bishop's Cake - River Road Recipes
- One-half (2 sticks) pound butter, at room temperature
- 2 cups sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups sifted cake flour
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Cream the butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Add the eggs, lemon juice, and vanilla. Beat well. Add the sifted flour. Bake in a greased and lightly floured Bundt pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Allow the cake to cool before removing it from the pan.
