Fried Tortilla Strips

Ingredients

  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 6 8-inch corn tortillas, cut into julienne strips
  • 1/2 teaspoon Southwest Seasoning , or to taste

Instructions

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. When hot, add tortilla strips and fry until

crisp and golden, about 1 minute. Remove strips from oil with a slotted spoon, drain on paper towels and sprinkle evenly with Southwest seasoning.



Yield: about 2 cups
