CHARLOTTE, NC (Feb. 27, 2012) – Chef Emeril Lagasse’s new restaurant, e2 emeril’s eatery, will open for lunch Tuesday, Feb. 28. The casual American eatery will serve lunch Monday – Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as dinner Monday – Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., and until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Reservations are available and walk-ins are always welcome.

The e2 lunch menu features fresh salads, sandwiches, soups and entrees for business-minded guests and visitors to the neighboring theaters and museums. Highlights include The Burger ($13) with house-ground sirloin, aged white cheddar, aïoli, house mustard, bibb lettuce, vine-ripened tomato, red onion ketchup and hand-cut fries; “Eatery” Chopped Salad ($12) with roasted chicken, Giacomo’s salami, chickpeas, cucumber, tomato, manchego and aged red wine vinaigrette; Pork Cheek Ragú ($14) with fresh pasta, fennel, leeks, mushrooms and shaved parmigiano-reggiano; Herb Roasted Ashley Farms Poussin ($14) with baby carrots, marble potatoes, Sea Island red peas and rosemary jus; and chef’s Daily Pie from the wood-burning pizza oven. The menu also features favorites from the dinner menu such as Emeril’s Chicken & Waffles, Shrimp & Grits, chilled seafood and shellfish from the raw bar, homemade desserts and more.

The eatery’s main dining room seats 125 guests and has semi-private spaces to accommodate up to 50 guests for luncheons, meetings or special events. A common table offers seating for up to 12 guests – perfectly suited for group dining at lunch. At the chef’s food bar, an additional 20-plus diners can watch the culinary team tend to the raw bar, plancha, wood-burning oven and grill stations. And this spring, the restaurant’s outdoor patio will open along Levine Center for the Arts Avenue.
