Oh Yeah Babe! Tonight, Emeril pops up at the Gosselin house to show Jon, Kate and the cutey-petutey kids, some cooking fun. A look at the “sneak peek” reveals Emeril sticking up for Jon when Kate gets bossy, and her swatting Emeril with a spatula! Yikes.

as usual, kate was rude. don’t know how emeril put up with her. she had never seen a recipe for chili mac? really? and she is publishing a cook book? had never seen someone clean celery? and she is publishing a cook book?
emeril had far more patience than i would. i would have taken that red spoon and smacked her.

I have watched their show for awhile now. I have to say the *little comments* between Jon and Kate were really low and not needed. I hope it won’t be that way for the rest of the season. Sadly, I think it will be though.
Emeril did a get job. Even though he was one arm down. He can come cook at my house anytime. Maybe he could show me how to get past 5 picky eaters!!! There would be no swating of the spatulas here!

If it wasn’t for Emeril appearing on that episode, I probably wouldn’t have watched. He is so positive and it was a refreshing change to the normal bickering and melodrama. Smacking Emeril was over the top. I winced.
I prepared the Slap Yo’ Mama Chili Mac for my family of four tonight and a neighbor who was just out of the hospital. It made a generous pan of hearty, chili mac’alicious goodness with ample leftovers to spare.
I had only one pound of ground beef on hand, so I substituted one pound of diced crimini mushrooms for the second pound of ground beef and BAM! It was amazing. Healthy, filling, flavorful. The cheddar cheese melted on top was transcendent.
Thank you, Emeril & Co., for a fantastic family meal.
