Flavor It With Lime

Post Author: Marcel Bienvenue

Fresh (and I mean fresh—not the one in a bottle) lemon juice can tweak just about anything—salads, baked or grilled fish and chicken, and steamed vegetables, and such. During the summer, I use lots of fresh lime juice…

Add some to mayonnaise or Dijon mustard for a different flavor. Of course, fresh lime juice and wedges of limes are ideal for perking up vodka, gin, and rum-based drinks. Squeeze a bit on thick slices of tomatoes. Add grated lemon or lime zest to pound cake batter. Add a goodly amount of fresh lime juice to gazpacho for a refreshing summer soup.
